(76) Assay Card

General Information
Summary Kalata B8 showed anti-HIV and cytotoxic activity. Tricyclon A did not show anti-HIV or cytotoxic activity.
Condition In vitro XTT based anti-HIV assay.
Result Anti-HIV tested for kalata B8 (4.5 mM) and tricyclon A (5.8 mM). Kalata B8 inhibited cytopathic effects of HIV-1 infection in cultured human T-lymphoblast (CEM-SS) cells with antiviral cytoprotective concentration (EC50) ~ 2.5 mM, with cytotoxic concentration (IC50) > 11 mM. Tricyclon A did not have anti-HIV ro cytotoxic activity.Anti-HIV tested for kalata B8 (4.5 mM) and tricyclon A (5.8 mM).
