General Information
Summary [I11L] mutants of cyO2, cyO9, hyen D and kalata B5 exhibited equipotent binding to the POPC/POPE(80:20) model membrane compared to their wild-type counterparts whereas the [I11G] mutants showed no binding or weak affinity to membranes.
Condition Refer "Membrane-Binding Evaluation Using Surface Plasmon Resonance" described in the method part (Huang et al., 2021).
Result Peptide-to-lipid maximum binding value (P/L max, mol/mol) and the peptide concentration required to achieve half-maximum binding value (KD value, uM) of peptides: cyO2: 0.28 ± 0.00, 3.90 ± 0.11; [I11G]cyO2: n.b., n.a.; [I11L]cyO2: 0.31 ± 0.01, 4.71 ± 0.17; cyO9: 0.30 ± 0.01, 4.83 ± 0.17; [I11G]cyO9: n.b., n.a.; [I11L]cyO9: 0.31 ± 0.00, 4.26 ± 0.06; hyen D: 0.37 ± 0.01, 4.48 ± 0.17; [I11G]hD: 0.24 ± 0.01, 81.0 ± 7.91; [I11L]hD: 0.36 ± 0.01, 4.39 ± 0.50; kB5: 0.22 ± 0.00, 5.02, ± 0.17; [I11G]kB5: n.b., n.a.; [I11L]kB5: 0.22 ± 0.00, 4.95 ± 0.12;
