General Information
Summary vibi D, E, G and H were analysed using fluorometric microculture cytotoxicity assay using a lymphoma cell line. The IC50 values ranged between 0.96 and 5.0 uM for vibi E, G and H, and vibi D was not cytotoxic at 30 uM.
Condition The human lymphoma cell line U-937 GTB was used. Vibi D, E, G and H were dissolved in 10% EtOH (aq) (yielding final concentrations of 1% EtOH in the assay) to a concentration of 300 ?M. Tumor cells suspended in cell-growth medium were dispensed on the microtiter plates (20,000 cells/180 ?l per well) which then were incubated for 72 h at 37 C and 5% CO2, and fluorescence was measured in a 96-well scanning fluorometer at 538 nm, following excitation at 485 nm.
Result IC50 (uM), vibi G (0.96), vibi H (1.6), vibi E (3.2) and vibi D (>30)
